We work on the top floor of a cool little brick building in the arts district of Columbus, Ohio. The woodbeam ceiling is 20 feet high. The mood is laid back. There is a never-ending stream of music. A Wii. And good coffee around the corner. It's pretty much a designer's utopia. Here's a little bit about the lucky people who get to work here:

Terry Rohrbach

Owner / Creative Director

Terry opened Base Art Co. in 1997 with a passion for great design, and has since
turned his company into an award-winning, nationally-known design studio. His work
has been featured in PRINT, Communication
Arts, HOW, and numerous books on design.
He has also been recognized by AIGA, AdFed, the Columbus Society of Commun-
icating Arts, and the Ohio Arts Council.
Terry obtained a B.S. in Industrial Design
and Visual Communications from The Ohio
State University. He lives in Galena with
his wife and three sons.

Drue Dixon

Senior Designer

Obsessed with all things typographic, Drue
is a versatile designer who loves creating
anything from logos to annual reports. Drue
started his career as a freelance illustrator,
contributing to national publications such
as The Progressive and Boys' Life. After
working at a few advertising agencies around
Columbus, Drue co-founded FarmBarn Art
Co., a design studio that specialized in branding and merchandising work for the music industry.His work has been honored
by PRINT, Communication Arts, and the
Columbus Society of Communicating Arts.
Drue earned his B.F.A. in Illustration from
the Columbus College of Art & Design.

Casey Carmell

Designer

After graduation from Miami University with a BFA in Graphic Design, Casey began her career working with great brands like Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams and the Columbus School for Girls. She loves letterpress and silkscreen and custom typography (then again, what designer doesn't?), and also volunteers for the Columbus Society of Communicating Arts. Casey lives in the Short North Arts District with her husband where she enjoys her friends, her garden, and all that Columbus restaurants have to offer.
